Do you think that all these groups that seem to get offended at the drop of a hat for something that is found humorous is making the world a better place, or just making us seem like a bunch of cry babies? One example is the snickers ad from the super bowl, which I for one didn't think was offensive at all.

People in general yes. Example, Black comedians make fun of white people, some get offended, but it's humorous to Black people watching. But a White comedian making fun of Black people becomes some form of racism to Black people. Which is sad. It's both ways around with that one. I believe people can tell the difference between joking and being ignorant but choose to call negative shots just to start controversy. Humor is not a crime!

I'm glad somebody else notices this. I am of the mentality that people are way, way to sensitive now and days. There are committees that are set up to protect the "rights" of almost anybody or anything in this world. There is nothing wrong with that, but I think you have to maintain a level of control. It is getting ridiculous when people cannot express their honest opinions in fear of being criticized or sent to some sort of rehabilitation center. It is getting to the point where you can get sued or committed for a comment. Come on now? People need to be more open to others opinions and remember that the world does not revolve around themselves. Not everything is directed at you, try and remember that.

Being easily offended often is a way for people to justify their aggression against others.

During the Middle Ages in Europe, religious people were easily offended by any criticism of their religion. And this offense they used to justify burning heretics at the stake and torturing many others to death.

Hitler and his nazis were also deeply offended by the way Germans were being treated in Czechoslovakia and in Poland. And their offense they used to justify military attacks against these countries, which started World War II.

Usually, it's the bullies who are easily offended and not crybabies.

I think they were right in getting offended at that one. Only because it promotes guys doing stupid and dangerous things to each other to prove they are not Gay. Obviously those two guys were extremely Gay. If two straight guys really did accidently kiss, it would be no big deal. They would probably laugh about it at the honky tonk with everyone. Only latent homosexuals, ashamed of what they are, would react like those two fgs. I hope those two guys get married and stop hitting each other to suppress their true desires. The snicker bar itself is the first clue of their true selves. As Freud once wrote, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

the whole "super bowl thing" offends me, so I left it turned off, and cannot comment on the "snickers ad". Some things are clearly meant to be offensive, and some things promote what YHVH called abominations. What the Almighty condemned, I do not have authority to forgive and tolerate.

I'd bet they'd get real wizzed off if they had a big rally in the streets of New York and someone dropped a giant bag of poop on their heads.....waaaaaaa!!! While millions watch and laugh.
I LOVE a good joke, they are so easily....Laughed....Off! Live long enough and, one learns to laugh at himself with others or watch others laugh at him alone.

who got offended over snickers?

That would be a cry baby.

But if someone is hurtfully bashing your race religion gender, or sexuality,
Then no they aren't cry babies, they just stand up for themselves.
