Here's the situation, You are coaching your team in the superbowl. It's the 4th quarter, your team is down by 3 with 2 minutes left. Your offense is on your 45 and your starting QB just got put out of the game. Who's your back up (anyone, any team, any era), can they get it done, and why?

Remember, your back up may have been your starter who had gotten injured during the season, and his back up may have gotten on fire (Brady/Bledsoe or Simms/Hostetler are examples)

Be sure to give a thumbs up or down to the others so more points can be given.

To answer your question I would take Steve Young, because he was Joe Montana's back up. And I think you were looking for a back up and i don't recall any of the guys above being a back up at any time in their career.

Joe Montana- golden in the clutch for the team of the 80's

For an active player it'd have to be Tom Brady: 14-2 in the playoffs?!? the guy defines clutch.

In the end, though... Montana

Well, Tom Brady was backup to Drew Bledsoe before Drew got injured in the playoffs before the Patriots first Super Bowl win, and obviously the rest is history...so I'm going with Tom Brady every time...

Since you mentioned "backup", I would go with Drew Bledsoe in the '01 Super Bowl. He did win the AFC title game vs. Pittsburgh that year when Brady got hurt.

Vince Young!!!

He will give the defense a nightmare especialy if hes a back up and they dont have a lot of tapes on him......They are just gana get so flustered when he walks into the end zone....

PS. Who ever says Rex Grossman is a clutch performer is a douchebag

Jeff Garcia took the Eagles in to the playoffs. 6 wins in a row. He's the best backup in the NFL.

Well if it is anyone in any era I would want Joe Montana in that situation. He was a great QB in a situation like that.

I'm gonna go with last season's backup. Jeff Garcia. 6 in a row off the bench. That's my guy.
