My husband is from one of the gangs listed, giving that he has moved away and started a new life, no gang, no trouble, if his name comes up will they try to find him or just let the past be the past? He hasn' been there in more than 4 years, but his "friends" are still there, can he get in trouble for something he wasn't there for if they talk to the cops about him or his name come up?

Just worried that his past will come back to haunt him. He is a completely different man now.

hi my husband is also a gang member of the past and sometimes there past can haunt them. but as long as he wasn't a wanted man then I don't think there should be a problem. I wish you guys luck and all the happiness. Anyone can change it just sucks that society will treat a person bad because of there past...

You are wise to seek advice now, before trouble finds you. NOW would be a good time to contact a lawyer or a low-cost legal aid society with this question. You also might consider, if your husband isn't wanted for a past crime, contacting the police department directly and asking to speak to someone on the gang task force. Congratulations to your husband on his crime-free present and future.

It might. If someone names him later in an investigation. If your husband was involved in something a long time ago it might come up again.

I can't believe you married someone like this. Just wait until he is called as a witness in a trial, or something thinks he is going to and comes after him.

Good luck.

your husband is a thug and criminal and needs to be punished accordingly, hopefully the police will find and jail him and then a judge will hand out a nice long prison sentence and he will get a s s raped in jail
