Go websearch on Background check website...
And when you go in Background check website...

SSN is always begin with 4 or 5 and then guess the other 8 numbers...

Keep trying until someone name pop up.

You don't have any choice in the matter (it's assigned), and I can't see any good reason why you would want to change your number, given that it's linked to retirement benefits. If you have been using someone else's number because you didn't have your own, then you need to apply for a card and start using that number.

Why do you want to change it? Does it actually belong to someone else? Are you letting someone else use it to get benefits? There is no reason to get it changed just because you are becoming a citizen so what is the whole story here?

you cant change it it is yours till you die
the SSN will make you a citizen but the first 3 numbers indicate that you are from another country

You can't, unless you have suffered identity theft, and then it is a major deal to get it done.

What is wrong with your old SS#?

You can't change it - you get one and it's yours forever. Why do you want to change it - is it one that you obtained illegally?
