I think they will go as far as Marc-Andre Fleury will take them. For as much is being said about Crosby, Malkin, and Stall (and dont get me wrong, it's all very well deserved) but you don't have a 10-0-2 stretch without some superb goaltending and thats what Fleury has delivered over the past month.
Jordan Staal has a 7 game points streak, Crosby continues to work his magic, Malkin is as solid a rookie as you'll find in the league, and Mark Recchi has been playing out of his mind. The defense should pick up a litle bit when Eaton is fully healthy and Melichar comes back. Contrary to popular belief, they have more than just Crosby, Malkin, and Staal. Ryan Malone has been playing well during this stretch, as have Ryan Whitney and Michel Ouelett. Sergei Gonchar has also seemed to regain his form after a bad '05-'06 season. One person I think who has underachieved this season is Colby Armstrong, but if he can put it together, look out! I would say that the Eastern Conference Finals aren't too much of a stretch this season, of course I personally am hoping for more! The best part is that these guys haven't even come close to peaking yet. Hopefully an arena deal will get done very soon so Penguin fans can enjoy this ride of young talent in Pittsburgh for years to come!

The pens will at least make it past the first round of the playoffs. I think you're right now. If they do keep playing at the ridiculous fast pace they are now and fleury keeps playing amazing in net, they have a great chance to make it to the finals. I'm not sure they could hang with a team like buffalo for 7 games though.

I am 23 and lived in Pittsburgh for 12 years and miss that wonderful city. I truly think the pens will go far this year and if not, they will go far in years to come. Look at four of their top players, they are all under 22. And crosby is only 19, fresh legs and young ages and willingness to learn create a deadly team. Good luck to them this year and years to come. Lets Go Pen's!!!

If they buy tickets, they can go the Stanley Cup Finals.
The best place for them to finish is 6th in the conference standings. If they finish 7th or 8th they'll play Buffalo or New Jersey in the first round and lose. If they finish 4th or 5th they'll play Ottawa and lose.
Finishing 6th puts them up against Atlanta or Carolina - a very winnable series for them. If Buffalo or New Jersey gets upset in the first round the Penguins could make the conference finals, but realisticly, I don't think they could get past Buffalo, New Jersey, or Ottawa in a long series. They just aren't deep enough across all lines.

I think they can go to the 2nd round, but w/all the young players, that might be a stretch. But if vets like "The wreckin' ball" Recchi and Gonzo Gonchar step up, then who knows? They could get to the Conference Finals possibly then. Would be nice to see, after so many yrs. near the bottom!

It depends on who they play. They're definitely making the playoffs, that's for sure. I don't see them beating the Devils or Sabres...but I could see them upsetting the Thrashers or another top tier team. Let's say Eastern Conference semis unless they face the Devils or Sabres in the first round.

Stanley Cup will be in there hands there is no way that any one can bet them if they keep playing like they are playing now if fleury keeps doing what he is doing know and keeps it up we will win and if the whole team contributes to what they are doing the will defiantly win. And all the young guns on our just cant get nervous and play right
