My great-grandmother on my fathers side was a twin, also my great-grandfather (twin granny's husband) had twin sisters. No one in our family has had twins since then. Do you think it's likely that me and my husband will have twins?

Fraternal twins tend to more "run in families". And more I would think in teh mother's side as she is the one to release teh eggs. The realease of multiple eggs in one cycle being the cause. But identical twins are just chance that the egg splits.
So you're answer depends more on which type your g. grandma and g. grandpa were.
There are a much higher incidence of them now but that is mainly due to fertility treatments of one form or another.

my great grand mother was atwin my dad is an identical twin and my mom is a faturnal twin none of us had twins thank the lord it all depends twins are more of a fluke than a genetic thing like hair and eyes my husband also had twins in his family his grandma and grandpa were both twins so you'd think with all that we'd have a set but like i said thank the lord

nope not more than anyoen else. The twins have to come from the mother side not the fathers side for there to be any chance of it more than others

the twin gene has to be from the father's side because the sperm is what makes the baby split

NO ONE ON EITHER SIDE OF OUR FAMILIES HAD EVER HAD TWINS.
BUT ME AND MY HUBBY DID. -AND WHILE ON BIRTH CONTROL.
THE DOCTOR SAID MY BODY BECAME IMMUNE TO BIRTHCONTROL, AND I GOT PREGNANT TWICE WITHIN A 2 WEEK PERIOD.
LUCKY ME.
MY TWINS ARE 7 YEARS OLD NOW.
