Amy says her final goodbyes to Graciela. Maxine realizes that she made a mistake in pushing Ignacio away and tries to reach out to him but Ignacio rebuffs her because he doesn't want to be her yo-yo, jerked around on Maxine's whims. Bruce is still absent on Amy's last day in the courtroom. Holbrook tries to raise awareness about the bill before Congress that will effectively kill the juvenille justice system. Donna is amazed that Amy refuses to support the cause and brings several of the kids whose lives Amy has changed during her time on the bench in an effort to change her mind. Amy, frustrated by her limitations as a judge, runs into Marty Levine, who again tries to convince her to give the speech in Washington and run for Senate. Amy runs the idea by Lauren who at first refuses to give a straight answer but later supports her mom when Maxine attacks the decision. That same night, Maxine must rush to save a young girl from being pimped out by her prostitute mother. Amy receives encouragement from Vincent to speak from her heart instead of reading the speech Marty has prepared for her. In Washington, Amy calls Bruce and leaves a message apologizing for their argument and asking for his support. As the Gray family prepares to watch Amy's speech on C-SPAN, Ignacio comes over and proposes to Maxine but the speech begins before she has a chance to reply. Amy is surprised and delighted to find Bruce in the front row as she begins her speech.

The last episode was aired in May(I believe) of 2005. Can't really remember what that one was about, but I think it was having to do with the Graciela Reyes storyline. The one that Amy wanted to get an innocent verdict. I think she was proven innocent but somehow died the same day. Can't remember clearly though. I still watch the reruns on TNT! I think it was a really good show and sucked that it was cancelled.

i'm no longer keen on television judges, yet I kinda like choose Marilyn Milian. She's honest, she listens, AND, she'll do learn. If she would not understand something, she'll seem up state statute, or call human beings for estimates. She shows due diligence. i in my view appreciate her for that.. I HATE Judy Judy for all those motives. She continually cuts human beings off, she's impolite, mean, and in some cases it relatively is like she's making up the regulation instant..
