I am planning to take the lsat, but first i want to make sure which is the best lsat course to take out there. Which course would be suitable for someone who scores in the low 140's? I want to improve my score to at least a 160+ and so I want to know which course is right for me.

Take the Kaplan LSAT course. The full classroom course is pretty expensive, but it is well worth it. I used to work for kaplan, and the lsat course would bring scores up crazy high compared to what they were getting before. It really helps with the logic games which gets most people because it shows shortcuts around everything. I took the mcat course and taught it but I heard nothing but good things about lsat.
And whoever said law students study 60 hours/week their first year is insane. At least not at vanderbilt and i'm pretty sure its a decently great school. anyway law school is nothing compared to med school and theres more money in it, so go for it.

Do you really want to commit to three years competing with people that get 160's on the LSAT cold, considering they still have to spend 60 hours a week on studies in the first year?

They're all pretty much the same. A lot of it depends on how much work you put in personally. There's no real magic bullet.

While it's possible to get a 15+ point increase, that's VERY rare.

Testmasters has the best marketing lines. You've got pretty much nothing to lose at this point. Give them a shot.
