Has anyone else noticed that Dr. Phil has had a lot of shows that I would call "trash tv" over the last year? It used to be really compelling tv, with the Dr. Phil family, etc., and now it seems a lot of the shows are more like Jerry Springer shows - almost like they are set ups and not real people??? I still love the show, but I tape it now, and end up not watching about half of them after the first 5 minutes after I see what is about to come on. p.s. Dr. Phil is great and I think the world of his brain, he is brilliant and classy, and that's why I think his show needs to reflect that class.

I think thats the problem... Class just doesn't get those magical and escalating ratings like outrageous stuff does. It's really up to the collective "us" to try and stop being attracted to these pathetic side shows.

Getting to be Jerry Springer type trash show for the rich. Definitely going downhill and his plastic wife Robin has had too much plastic surgery

Good ol' doctor Phil. I still like him but his shows are starting to be more like the Maury Show honestly (Please refer to the episodes of extremely obese children, cheaters and flashers recently). They better get new stuff or the show will be getting old soon...

You are right . When he was first on Oprah he was really good. Now it looks like he does shows for sensationalism and shock. It is not nearly as informative or entertaining as it used to be.

It makes me laugh when he has Robin answering questions and giving advice. I raised children that are very successful, with out family money. But I am certainly not qualifed to give people advice. What is her background? Not very impressive.
