Is it something you have been interested in for a long time? Is it something which attracts your interest beyond all other things? Do you have a passion for that subject? Are you willing to devote more time to this passion than any other thing or person? If you can answer yes to these questions, then you have found "your calling".

I think it's the same as knowing if you're in love, you just do!
I only discovered my calling recently. For the last 10 years or so, I've been doing jobs that are just jobs, just earn the money needed to live. When I had my kids I felt more like that was what I should have been doing, just being a mum. But in the last 18 months or so, since I've been with my bloke, I've been raising calves and lambs and generally being a farm-hand around the place and suddenly I felt like it was definately what I was made for. I feel happy, and content, and like I have a purpose, and it doesn't feel like work. I think when you've found your calling, it feels like it's what you've waited your whole life to be doing, like it's a natural state for you.
Good luck!

I think everyone has a purpose or a calling.
It's something you're drawn to, either by an inner voice, obsession with an idea or profession, or just by repeated circumstance. If you can't quite define your calling, get out in the world and experience as much as you can with other living human beings instead of watching TV and spending your life on the computer.
I also belive that many of us have many small callings throughout of lives. To be there in certain times and places, to help others sometimes.
Your 'calling' may change throughout your life, and you need to balance what you think is your calling with responsibility to family and friends.

I think you've found your calling when you wake up happy and excited about what you are going to do that day. Having a goal that really means something to you and it feels so right in your heart and mind.

That depends if you are looking for a temporary material so called calling which is just a concoction of desires you wanted from a previous life. Or Your eternal calling which is designated by your constitutional position as spirit soul. This world is Maya(illusion) and full of misery Only one fourth of the souls come here. If we want to finish up our business here and never take a material birth again then we should aspire for our eternal calling. If you are tired of suffering and are looking for real happiness then go to harekrishnatemple.c Read Bhagavad Gita as it is By Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada which tells the purpose and meaning of human life. I love my real service in life.

When you actually are happy to go to work, and at the end of each day, you feel a good sense of accomplishment. Many, many people hate their job, so if you really like yours, chances are you have found your niche.

I don't think anyone has a "true" calling. As we grow with our abilities our "calling" changes. So whatever may be your calling today might not be your calling in 4 years.

no matter what you do, it will still get old after a while. work is work is work, wether your an accountant, a freelance artist or a playboy photographer. just find something you like to do, and someone who will pay you to do it.
