Her real birthday is April 21st, 1926, but the sovereign's official birthday is celebrated with Trooping the Colour on the first Saturday of June. Her coronation was June 2nd, 1953 and her accession to the throne was February 6th - this week they fired cannons in Hyde Park to mark the anniversary.
