there are in fact 19,186 different ways of solving the puzzle. So even if you do manage to complete it once, that means you've still got 19,185 different combinations still to find.

I have managed to get all but 2 pieces back to the way they were lol. There is apparently over 10000 solutions. I usually start with the annoying '+' piece or the 'stair' piece and work my way up.

There are over 75000 solutions
google it and you will find them all, I did after many years of frustration, I have now sealed it so as not to awaken this eternal torment once again.
