I am married, and my wife and I have a great time together. Sex is great, but even if it was taken away, there's nobody I'd rather hang out with more. But, I guess an intimate relationship is different cause I share stuff with her, that I would never share with a guy friend.
Conclusion: If sex was out of the equation, I would probably have more guy friends, simply because I relate to guys a little bit better. But, simply being around guys all the time gets boring because females communicate so much better, and honestly (generalization). So, I guess a balance of both is necessary.
Does that make me bi-sexual? LOL!!

That's sort of true. I've had a string of Indian girlfriends and they were crazy in the sack. It's kind of taboo for Indian girls to have pre-marital sex but they crave sex. My Punjabi girlfriend gives my white ex-gf's a run for their money. It doesn't hurt that she knows the kamasutra inside out! The Anglo-Indian community is a result of the romance between British soldiers and Indian women. The term ''Eurasian'' was originally invented to describe the children born from those unions.

Of course, like in platonic relationships. Some of my best friends are women, who I would not even think of making it with. I am wondering if the sex did not get in the way to clutter up the relationship if the friendship might not even be better. I know some guys I would much prefer to be with, than some women, and I am strictly heterosexual.

Technically, if there was no sex, there'd be no men and women period!! But if somehow we procreated without sex, then I still think we would have to like each other. We are of the same species and all species of animal are social. It is the way of nature.

Very interesting question!
By no sex, I shall also assume that you mean procreation is no longer a factor and that the human species will die out in the next century.
I think that women would tend to gravitate more to the companionship of other women. And that men, faced with less companionship and the hopelessness of life ending, would destroy the world in frustration.
