can someone explain to me what u torrent is and how it works exactly?

Question

I am on it and trying to get a game for my son..does the thing have spy ware? what does download a torrent? what is a torrent? what does it do when its downloading stuff? looks like a cool idea but not sure what this is or how it works!

Thanks! I tried downloading a Diego dinosaur adventure game and it said it needs a crack..I assumed I WAS getting a cracked version! GRR! Guess as you guys say I wont attempt to download the crack!

ehh u need to get a program to download torrents... u download the torrents from differents websites dedicated to torrents like isohunt.com .. a torrent is like.. a direct download from different people... if more ppl have the torrent ur downloading more faster will be.. torrent=whatever that u r looking to download.. game-movies-video-audio... and yes.. u can get any kind of infections to ur computer downloading this... but i use it all the time.. and it works for me :D
ps. it works like any other kind of download... u just click download and the torrent download opens in the program that u have
suggestion for a torrent program will be microtorrent ... look for it in yahoo.. install it.. go to a torrents page look for the game.. downloaded and thats it
if is a game.. maybe u have to get a serial key.. or a crak..
if the game requires that... sugg. dont download cracks :D they usually crak ur computer lol
