Cincinnati, as you now know is referred to as the Queen City (as is Charlotte, N. C., for that matter), is an old river city, with lots, and I mean LOTS of ethnic diversity. Like many urban American cities, Cincinnati has been challenged with racial turmoil for many years. Cincinnati is still a city very rich in natural beauty, even if at times it seems one must look past the dirt and grime of this old city to see it. Cincinnati has beautiful parks, exquisite architecture (old and new), and amazing cultural attractions. Amidst troubled neighborhoods one will find open theater areas, music halls and museums. Some have said that if you could never find your way to NYC, Cincinnati's one of the best in the Midwest in comparison to the Big Apple. Over a dozen motion pictures have been filmed in and around Cincinnati, just in the last twenty years!--check out the 1993 movie Airborne for lots of urban Cincinnati scenes. With all of its social problems, Cincinnati is a phenomenal city, with an overflow of heart and soul. What is Cincinnati like?: it's like the Real Thing.

Cincinnati is a decently cool city. The commutes and roads are not too bad compared to many other cities. You can buy homes for a lot more reasonable prices than many other places. It gets a lot less snow and warms up faster than Cleveland. You have the pro teams (Bengals and Reds) in town. You have a major theme park with Kings Island in Mason. Also in Mason you have a major Mens (and soon to be major women;s as well) professional tennis ATP tour stop in Mason. Many cultural activities. Etc. I personally would call it a hidden gem :)

I grew up in a small town in Connecticut but needed a change after college. So...I moved to Cincinnati for a year. It was a great expereince. Cincinnati is a fun place with LOTS to do and many different varieties of places to go.
I moved back to CT cause my sister was pregnant.

Cincinnati is a decent city with much the same features as other river cities. You have the haves and those who want to have. You have a few decent restaurants and a few hole in the walls. Overlooking the Ohio River, you have Pete Rose Way to drive past a ball park where the Reds could contend if they spent money on real pitching, and you also have the Bengals who have come alive of late, albeit they do raise the crime level in Ohio with their hoodlum thinking players (Palmer not included).

I think it sucks in the winter.. but in the spring summer and fall it is okay... there are many things to do you might have to go a bit outside of cincy but most things are still really close...there are many clubs and restaraunts there is Kings Island, there are some pretty cool museums and about 20-30 minutes away from where I live is a beach of course it is a lake but still it is great fun in the summer time. The parks are great I think the only people here who are bored are the ones who don't get out much because really there is lots to do here.. it is very close to the casinos in Indiana too if you like that type of stuff
