I would uninstall that Norton System you have. It controls the PC so bad you can't do anything. Then go to : Grisoft.com and get AVG Free Edition 7.5 antivirus program. It is super. Since the free version does not have a firewall, download for free the one called Windows Defender from Windows Marketplace, security section.If you get AVG, set it to get up-dates on start up, that way you won't forget. Those updates are key to keeping your PC virus free.

Open up your firewall options. Look for something like program permissions. Find google earth. Change the rule to allow it to connect.
