My car seems to turn of on me when I start slowing down its never happened before. I'm just wondering if it would do that when its time for a tune up or oil change. It just started doing it.
I'm going to be getting a tune up but I hope thats all it needs!! No problems for about a year or so!! Ford Contour 99

Is it happening just by taking your foot off the gas or does it occur when you apply the brakes? Changes are, a tune up will do nothing to stop your car from pulling to one side. Based on exactly when it occurs will help better determine its cause. It could be your alignment, it could be your suspension, but more than likely could be your brakes. A little more info is needed.

sounds to me like the timing is off....certainly a tune up after a year is in order, but also have them check the timing.

If you mean the engine quits, it may be an air leak into the intake manifold.
