I have a green terror since last november & it is still shy with me, even though he is king of the aquarium. Is it shy by nature or it'll take for him time to get free. Earlier I har an oscar which was very bold, I used to play with him, wherever i touched on the glass he used to follow it. I even used to handfeed him. he even jumped out of water to get food. But this GT never did so.

Yeah, that sounds normal to me. Most green terrors are, despite their name, on the shy side - although a select few are afraid of nothing.
Anyway, he may calm down in time or he may not; give him lots of cover / hiding areas, and stick around when you feed them so he has to see you if he wants food.

Green terrors are more shy than many cichlids, or at least in my personal experience. What you describe sounds like normal green terror behavior to me.

At least you get a response.... Mine acts like I don't exist. I come up to feed him & he just keeps swimming on his path. After having oscars, I'm a little dissappointed at how little he responds to my presence.
