Let's look at some facts.

This country has gone from a budget surplus to the BIGgest defecit in history.

Our manufactoring base is gone. All of these tax cuts don't keep businesses here, unless you count those businesses that hire undocumented workers and pay less than living wages.

Is anyone paying attention to New Orleans? My God we're about to lose an entire american city on Bush's clock, why doesn't he get more blame on this.

Erosion of Civil liberties ...

Why are we in Iraq exactly? I challange anyone to write a reason for being there and then explain why Iran, North Korea, Somalia, Cuba, or pick more countries don't qualify for our brand of nation building. WMD, murder of its citizens etc ... In other words we were lied to about the reason.

I could go on, but consider. If Bush we're inactive and hesitant or just ineffective (Carter) we would be in half the mess we are now.
Bush has "War on Terror" has recruited more people to that cause than Bin Laden ever could have.

For my friend down there who talks about blue collar jobs vs. white collar. I work in technology and believe me, jobs markets were much better here in the 90's before a lot of this got outsourced to India/Phillipines etc...

You were generalizing and you were wrong.

So Sorry

Also, for my friend who thing Bush is the greatest in 100 years:

Clinton had no Al Qaeda attacks on US soil for eight years after the 1993 bombing of the World Trade center. Does that make Clinton "Greater" than Bush in your opinion?

Not a very good arguement...

He has already earned that title. That is why his dad broke down and cried.

He's in tight with the bin Laden's in Saudia Arabia. He has purposely created a civil war in Iraq to get things back on the track they were on in the 70's and 80's. As Col. Oliver North once said before a Senate hearing, "We figured as long as they were killing each other we win." North, Reagan and Bush Sr. were the ones who sold arms illegally to Iran to use against our then allie Iran. When things backfired for them on that war being fought, baby Bush had to pick up where his daddy left off.

To add a few quotes:

War is a racket. It always has been. It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious.
~General Smedley Butler, WWI hero~

Our country is now geared to an arms economy bred in an artificually induced psychosis of war hysteria and an incessant propaganda of fear.
~General Douglas MacArthur~

Political language ... is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind.
~George Orwell~

No, but you DID name the worst.

Jimmie Carter.

Not just ineffective, but he did more harm to the US internationally, domestically, and economically than any combination of bad Presidents.

Bush may be bad, but Carter is a run away with the worst president in modern history and retains the title.

At least until the next election!!

I had to add this. You mention the problems in Louisiana and don't even mention the governor or the Mayor of New Orleans. Have you noticed that Alabama and Mississippi are 85% recovered? That's a demo governor, and an absentee demo mayor (the one who ran away in the thick of things). Why is it that the new Governor of Florida (a Dem I might add) isn't having any problems recovering after a horrifying hurricane?

B. Clinton was president during the first twin towers attack (no response), the attack on our troops in Beruit (260 + killed - no response) the attack on troops in Somolia (no response), the kidnapping and execution of 2 US Diplomats (no response) the bombing of the US Embassy in South Africa (no response). The Twin Towers bombing was on Clintons intelligence watch so he eats that one too.

Even your father, Bill Clinton said Iraq had WMD and said that invading it was the right thing to do. Get your facts straight - amateur.

Consider THIS: If Bush was as inactive and hesitant as Carter the muslim extremists would have been emboldened by their bombing and would continue attacking America much like they have Britian, and Spain. Look what happened to the Spanish election, withdraw or we'll continue blowing up your country.

I didn't think we should have gone into Iraq in the first place. Nobody cares about Iraq, not even the Iraqis. They'd rather leave than fight, and they are, by the thousands. But now we're there and all you can do is use your brilliant hindsight. How apropos. Since you don't have any answers why do you bash those who do, or are at least trying something. If we run away now, like you are advocating, and leave Iraq destabilized like the Russians did to Afganistan who is going to fill that void? The extremists. If the middle east is run by people who hate America MORE than the people who are there now what happens to the economic engine that runs the WORLDS ECONOMY.

What a jerk. You can only think as far as the D on the ballot. If it doesn't have a D behind the name you become a babbling moron.

I too believe that Bush screwed up the effort in Iraq, but if he DID listen to his generals then that dope he's trying to promote to Chief of Staff should be burned at the stake.

I could go on and on but you shut off about 3 paragraphs ago. You're like Molly Ivans you hate George Bush because. Like a 10 year old, no reason, just because. You don't look at the facts, only the half truths presented to you by the Michael Moore's of the world and come away thinking you know the real truth.

Now we know why the Democratic party mascot is the Donkey and YOU are the poster boy.

Honestly, I don't think any of your arguments hold any substance to them. I will remember George W. as THE BEST President we've had in the last 100 years!
Since 9/11 we've had no attacks! An unstable, terrorizing dictator who raped & starved 100 of 1,000s of his children when he was supposed to be feeding them is dead! And if we perservere in Iraq, democracy will be established in the Middle east!! How does that hurt us?? How is that bad?
The economy is growing and reaching new heights - have you looked at the stock market lately? The only erosion of civil liberties is those of terrorists. New Orleans - Bush sought to take care of the problem but the governor told him to stay out of it because it wasn't a federal problem. The governor, mayor and state officials did not fulfill their responsibility of evacuating their people. And then they blamed Bush for the disaster. A sign of immoral, and corrupt character!!
I could go on and on but bottom line is you need to take off your idealistic, unrealistic, liberal-colored glasses. I hope our next President is just like Bush! (Except maybe a little more conservative!)

I cry for the future...I can see that the public school system is really bad...no Bush is not even close to the worse President ever...there are many more that allowed many far worse things, (But of course all the info you put here is Liberal Propaganda and is factually wrong....) Remember all the Presidents who allowed slavery...and Lincoln declared Marshal Law and took away many, many civil rights...so you should read your history books, instead of reading the Internet...

OK the bit about manufacturing jobs being replaced with low wage jobs is BS. They're being replaced 2 for 1 with "service sector" jobs but those jobs are in technology and healthcare and other professions - white collar jobs, the creation of which is the reason why college-educated workers' incomes are rising faster than non-college-educated workers' incomes. The problem is that blue collar workers aren't qualified for the white collar jobs that are created.

Oh, right, not "the" problem. Your problem.

I vote for Clinton...
He lost the biggest surplus in history, our manufacturing base has just moved a little south, he let Osama Bin Laden go, he refused to let our military in Somalia go in with the equipment he needed, he denegrated the office of President with Monica, he lied to Congress and the every other American "I did not have sex with that woman.", He was responsible for Waco and Ruby Ridge (since you're whining about losing civil liberties)..wish you would go on, but you won't because you're a bleeding heart liberal that probably thinks Bill Clinton should immortalized on Mt. Olympus. Don't throw mud while you standing in a manure pit, buddy.

Unfortunately for him, I doubt that anonymity awaits, because I believe historians will pick over his legacy of reckless spending, reckless war-mongering, diplomatic failure and delusional mixture of politics and religion for many years to come.

I think, however, that historians will also be able to show Americans what can happen when they are "sold" a president because of their apathy and reverence for media hate-speakers.

Im not gonna say he is the worst. But when he is long gone, the history books will not remember him too kindly. When he is out of office and no longer holds power alot of things will come to light about the Bush administration and some of the contraversial things they have done over the years.
