Of course you should drop out, america needs people who can flip burgers, clean toilets, and take my order at Dunkin Donuts. Education is over rated.

I'll echo what everyone else is saying. Dropping out is quitting. Quit now and you'll quit the rest of your life and likely be counted among the working poor. Focus on what you want, determine a plan of action to get it and commit yourself to being determined to get there. The old cliche, "nothing comes easy" is true. I would add "except poverty". All you have to do for that is nothing and you'll have all you can handle. Even with just a high school diploma a good job is hard to come by these days. Whatever your situation is now change it. But if you do fail High School take what you did learn adn get that GED. You'll still need that to get into most colleges or vocational schools not to mention most jobs require at least that.

Try a bit more. I was not well in Chemistry, Biology, Maths, Physicics, but I was very good in Piano and became a teacher!
Just try, it is good to have diploma, for later years to come when you look for jobs. You don't want to end up doing jobs that don't give you good money and you still struggle!
Can you take some private lessons on the ones that you have difficulties? Or may be read some books about those subjects or TV programs that can teach you better?
I would have been better at school if i was your age, because these days things are explained better, TV, internet, more colour and interesting.... My time at school there were all heavy books and Black and White writing. Sooooooo borring to concentrate or even understand!!

No--don't drop out of high school--It will close many doors for you--Even though it is unfair--the world will judge you if you do--Talk to your counselor and try to keep your grades up so that you can pass--make the extra effort--At this time in your life it seems like it may not be worth it--that it's just another hassle for you--But trust me--down the line you will be very glad that you stuck it out...This is one of those long term things--..do it for yourself--Try your best and ask for HELP--it's okay to need help to turn things around...ask and you will receive...A GED is not bad either--but if there is any way you can complete your high school I'd do it--it sends yourself a message--that you can complete something of importance--
Many times we don't get the fruits or rewards for certain hard work until much later--graduating from high school is like that--It will also open doors for you to colleges (yes--even though right NOW you think that's a far shot, etc...but trust me--you're young--your life plans and ideas will change drastically as you age and you never know--KEEP YOUR OPTIONS OPEN!!!! Anything is Possible)
Good Luck--and congratulations for thinking seriously about this issue and decision--it takes courage to not walk away from situations that are difficult and uncomfortable--it's easier to just leave--sticking it out is tough--As always it is your choice to make

Hi! I didn't drop out! I'm 58 now and I've never needed that diploma whatsoever, even though I finally got it! However, neither did I climb up the "ladder of sucess". I would advise you the following: It all depends on what you plan to do with your life. You don't need a diploma to help someone - even to be an indespensible help- if that's what you want to do. But If you want to get a high-paying job and spend your life trying to better yourself, you'd probably do well to get one. Besides, it's already February, and I'll be over in June, No matter how much they tick you off, or how useless it seems, if you DO it, and FINISH it now, that's one step you'll never have to take again! (THANK YOU JESUS!)
I used to have dumb dreams that I was back in school, even though I was finished! But when I woke up, it was OVER! I'd finished! --Sionarra

No No No!!! Apply yourself work harder bring your grades up. Repeat your senior year if you must but don't drop out. I read a statistic somewhere at said high school graduates make about 1 million dollars more over a life time than drop outs. College graduates make about 2 million dollars more.
Dropping out of school: Bad Idea.

Hell no! Stay in school, get help with your work and stuff...sign up for night school classes and summer school....get your grades up....find a tutor!!!! DON'T DROP OUT OF SCHOOL...
What's going on that's making you fail? If it's too hard, get special classes or a tutor...
& if you have to take the year over again, do it at another school ...don't drop out.. I've never dropped out and my grades aren't bad, but I know that's not the way to go....

Dont drop out unless your planning to goto college. Since its senior year i wouldnt, but if you going to repeat a year, you might as well. Im actually taking the GED TOMMOROW. I heard its pretty simple..
OH BTW a GED is the same as a high school diploma. You can still get into a University with great SAT scores. Im in college now and i dont even have a diploma yet.

No. Your options are fewer if you drop out.
The military didn't used to accept GED's, but someone told me their standards got lower. You could still go through community college, or go on a technical course, but why not graduate?
If you fail a year, you can retake it. It may be awkward, but it will be worth it. At least you'll have a reunion to go to. (and some scholarships to potentially apply for, should you decide to go to college eventually).
I'd stick through it, unless you're getting bullied terribly and hate everyone in your class or something.

Definitely not, why don't you try some of those free tutor programs (usually available at the Y or Boys & Girls Clubs) or go to your teachers. I was doing pretty bad in a few of my classes and my teachers actually bumped up my points just for asking what I could do about it. Effort can move you up a whole grade!

Why, you're almost there. It would be quicker just finishing up. High school isn't that hard. Just do enough homework to pass. Give a little bit of effort and you'll get it. Otherwise you may get lazy and never get your G.E.D., then you'll wish you'd have finished up. Just do it, you can.
