I have written to the state, and I keep sending letters to the appeals department. I have complained to HR to no avail. I have even changed providers. The state says that the employer based insurance is protected under ERISA. I am having to constantly send letters and am behind months in my reimbursement. My son is chronically ill and this problem isn't going away.

Has your employer been of any help at all? What do they suggest as a next step, if anything? If you truly have gotten no reasonable response from the insurance company on what's going on & why, you might consider contacting your local television station. But I would be darn syre you have done your homework with due diligence & seek their community activist reporter. Many stations have a regular segment like this, & on your side, or whatever they might call it. Good Luck!
