what do you do when a toddler screams when you tell him no?

You let the child scream...to a certain limit. My limit was "till I count to five". I NEVER counted out loud...then you leave the grocery basket or whatever you're doing and take the child home. I've had to do this ONCE...

I can STILL give my boy "the look" and he straightens up quick...

I'm still wondering the same thing myself and my son is 4 already. His 2's and his 3's weren't that bad, it's when he turned 4. I've tried everything thing with him. Nothing much seems to work. Most of the time, like....I will say he can't play with his toys, no cartoons, and take other stuff away he likes until he behaves. But for the most part, it is just something they have to grow out of. I'm waiting for that part too!!!

You didn't give much information so it's a little hard to answer. Disipline problems don't get fixed overnight, it takes hard work and most important, consistance! If you keep flip-flopping on rules and boundries your child will be confused about those rules are.
Make a schedule that works for your family and stick to it, hopefully your child will fall into the routine.

PLEASE don't be one of theose mothers who lets their kid scream and bother everyone else just because you don't have enough guts to discipline him. Physical discipline is a good thing and it works!

never give in to screams, that is just a bad temper --give him solid guildlines to follow, like good behavior may reap a good result.

let him scream and dont pay attention or give him that look that says "u look stupid" they ultimately do it for the attention and if they arent getting it then it will stop
