Personally I like skinny jeans on guys, and band shirts are good too, as long as everything they wear isn't black. Too much black is bad. Converse are also better than skate shoes. By "skate shirts" I assume you mean brands like Zoo York and that...they're okay but brands don't mean much to me, as long as the shirt looks cool :) Oh yeah, and straightened hair on guys is kinda weird. I think a mix of both being comfortable with things, and having some insecurities. If they have too many insecurities it just weighs down on you. I have this friend, he has some issues that he just doesn't bother to fix and it really bothers me. If you do have insecurities don't dwell on them, try and do something about it, otherwise people just get fed up.

I wear all that stuff....I'm not emo, goth, punk, etc. Being in a subculture....is more than what you WEAR....its a lifestyle that includes music, certain beliefs, and yes even clothes, but clothing choices are just a small part of it. Shopping at the mall especially hot topic, doesn't make you that either. Asking people on yahoo answers most definitely won't make you any of that. Being punk/goth/emo whatever, you would know if you are or not. and you wouldn't have to ask. because I know you want us to say "oh your punk/goth/ or emo" its not that easy, and with all the poseurs lurking around, real punk and goth people are hard to find.
Sorry this isn't what you wanna hear, sweetie, but its the truth, the only thing you good at being is yourself. who needs labels. :]

Well in my neck of the woods you'd be called a skater. Skaters' are cool, I always dressed that way when I was in school.
Not enough make up to be emo, or goth for that matter!

Don't worry about it
people shouldn't be pigeon holed into categories because of the way they dress...
I happen to be a living legend but you wouldn't guess it from my geeky clothes

You're your average teenager, because that's like the uniform of choice here.

Why be in a catagory? Do you like to wear that stuff? Good - you're yourself.
