Changing Daylight Savings Time. The theory was that it would save energy by decreasing the amount of time we would need to use it. It makes no sense to me -- the length of a day is exactly the same, whether the government says it is or not.
By the way, people... Bush did not make the decision to go to war in Iraq, Congress (including a bunch of Democrats) did.

Sending all those trailer houses into New Orleans after Katrina, while the State of Louisiana, and the City of New Orleans didn't seem to give a damn about their own problem.

Bush was warned about Sept. 11th. he ignored that. I would not have called the PDB report named "Terrorist determined to attack America" a "historical" report as C. Rice did called it before Congress. I also think it was wrong of Bush to Ignore that PDB. That PDB told Bush the terrorist were already in this country and planned to use Commercial aircraft to attack Americans.

to run for president against Gore.... but beyond that.. to ignore the memo stating that planes were going to be hijacked and flown into buildings... without that Bush would have had a tougher time finding a way into Iraq

The institution of interventionist pre-emptive warfare as a main theme of his foreign policy is the foremost decision I'd change. I'd rather Bush have explored diplomatic options further with Iraq, rather than just bombing the hell out of it and kickstarting another round of Sunni vs. Shi'a civil warfare..

Iraq, definitely Iraq. Al Qaeda attacked us so we attacked Iraq, which had nothing to with the attack on us. Can you imagine if WW2 was run like the Keystone cop job done now? Japan attacked Pearl Harbor and instead of invading Japan FDR invaded China.
