in response to Honeypai- why would a fair and loving God, send them to purgatory? That would be horrible! The babies didn't choose to be aborted- so I think God brings them right to heaven.
They shouldn't be punished for something they had no control over.

Only God knows the answer to this question. I believe through
what I was taught, that God forgives even the vilest of sin if
you ask him and take Jesus as your personal savior. Christ
forgave the murderer next to him on the cross and told him
that the murderer would be with Him in paradise.

It depends on what religion you are taking about, according to Catholics they are forever meant to live in purgatory, Christians will say they go back to heaven, Buddhists will say they recycle back to another baby, atheists believe they just burn out like a light bulb. I like to think they recycle back to someone who wants and needs them.

Exodus 13: 2 God sanctifies them for himself, beast and child. My view, all life comes from God and all innacent life will return back to God.
