gonzo ..... its not an all time record (Big House), its the largest "official" crowd at a college football game. attendence records werent kept until the 50's, which was after Soldier Field held 120,000 to watch a college football game. if i asked what was the NCAA attendence record, you wouldve been right. but i didnt, i asked what the largest crowd was ...... and that answer is Soldier Field.

jaybo ......... not anymore. Soldier Field used to be an oversized U shaped stadium, with about 40,000 seats having AWEFUL views of the playing field. im not sure when it was done, but the top ends of the U were closed off and Soldier Fields capacity was greatly reduced.

jaybo .... neither the Coliseum or the Rose Bowl hold over 100,000 anymore. they both seat about 92,000 now. Michigans Big House, Ohio States Horseshoe, Penn States Beaver Stadium and Tennessees Neyland are the only stadiums that hold 100,000 plus. at least to my knowledge.

"Unofficially, the NCAA estimates that crowds of 120,000 people watched games involving Notre Dame and USC in 1927 and Notre Dame and Navy in 1928 at Soldiers Field in Chicago. And a confirmed 112,912 fans watched Notre Dame defeat USC at Soldier Field in 1929, which beats Michigan's record of the current era."

Michigan Stadium, nicknamed the Big House
The largest crowd in stadium history was 112,118 on November 22, 2003 for a game against Ohio State. This is also an all-time NCAA record for people at a football game.

The Big House Michigan Stadium has hosted two of the largest crowds all time for a football game. Check CBS Sports. The most of all time was Michigan vs. Notre Dame in 2013 over 115,000 people.

Soldier Field holds that many people? I would have guessed Tennessee since their stadium is huge. Or maybe even USC since the Rose Bowl holds over 100,000.
