I'm guessing the referral is to the term "Freudian slip" it's just a figure of speech. Freud's psychoanalytic theory focuses on the unconscious mind, i.e. our subconscious; the thoughts deep in the back of our minds that we may not even be aware of. So when we utter one such thought aloud, it is referred to as a Freudian slip.

That's awesome! One Halloween, I had an idea to wear a slip and write FREUDIAN on it. I didn't think anyone would get it, however, so I never went through with it.
But anyway, yes, I do think he wore slips. The man was a cokehead, albeit very accurate in his findings about the subconscious mind.
