No, petroleum jelly is not a good face moisturizer.
It is considered to be a protectant, not a moisturizer.

On a visit to the zoo I once watched the zoo keeper dab a generous lump of Petroleum Jelly on the large sores on the back of a rhinocerous. When I asked him why he was doing it, he said it cures the animal of the sores.

I don't know whether you have sores on your face, but my advice is not to use petroleum jelly on your face, unless you are a rhinocerous! And don't make the mistake of smoking while you are doing it. Or you won't have a face to show.

would have to say no since it has the potential to clog your pores. Depending on your skin type, this can lead to acne breakouts. Perhaps this works for some people, but I recommend sticking to using a moisturizer that is specifically meant to be used on the face.

No. Buy Nivea or Neutrogena moisturizer....it costs $5 - $6 for a jar. Both work great.

Definitly not!! Someone suggested that it worked when they had wind chap... this may seem like a good idea because it keeps moisture from escaping, but it will not put moisture into your skin. if anything it will make it worse!
