I just started selling on ebay last week. the very first item I listed didn't come up! I looked everywhere and kept re-editing it incase i hadn't clicked something i should. Finally it showed up and i got a response from my questions to ebay saying that it can take up to 24hours!!! The other 3 items i listed within 5 mins of the first one were all there immediately. Bizarre!

Paypal: no it sits in your paypal account until you transfer it to your bank account, but watch out because i think that if you transfer less than £50 from paypal to your account they charge you!

All sale items take a few minutes to show up, but do a search under your item's description in about ten minutes' times. It will show there, generally at the end of the list of similar items (items for sale are listed by order of how long they have left for sale, so yours - being the most recently listed - will probably be at teh end of a list.
When someone pays into your paypal account, you will receive an email telling you that the payment has been received. Now you may want to keep the money in there in case you are buying something but of course you are not earning any interest on this money. Do you have to log in to your PayPal account and arrange a 'funds transfer' into your bank account - it will show the amount of money you have there, just enter the amount you want, or the whole amount, and go through the 'transfer funds' procedure. It will take about 4 days to get to your bank. Remember that PayPal charges a small fee for transactions received and if you haven't got any money in your account they will send you an email and just deduct it from your bank, which is fine.
Good luck with your first Ebay sale. It can be very confusing for the first time but after two or three times you just get the hang of it. Being a PayPal user makes it very much easier as well, since you know that the buyer has paid and you don't wait for cheques to clear.
Good luck, if you have any more questions just post them on Yahoo and I'll keep an eye out for them.

The item usualy takes an hour or 2 to appear to buyers.
Once they have won the item and paid through paypal the money only goes to your paypal account until you transfer the money to your bank account. This can take 7-10 days to appear in your bank.
Also be careful as paypal charge 17.5% fees on the amount that has just been paid. Sometimes leaving you worse off.

hi there when u put an item up for sale, there is usually a ref type number at the top of the page. If u copy that number, come out of your eBay and click on the buy you can paste then number in the search box an it should bring up your item. When someone buys from you and they use pay-pal then the money will go straight to your pay-pal account, not your bank account. Hope this helps!

When you list an item for sale, there may be times that your item won't show up right away.. This is because the item needs to be "Indexed" to the site.. This process usually takes 2-6 hours. There may be times that the item would show up earlier, though.

The payment made by the buyer will be sent to your PayPal account. You'll be the one to transfer it to your bank account...

Your listing should appear straight away once you have confirmed it.
If you get paid via PayPal, it will remain in your PayPal account until you move it out. If you have less than £50 in your PayPal account, then it will cost you 25p to transfer it to your bank account, otherwise it is free (but can take up to 5 days to complete the transfer either way) PLUS, it also costs you to accept money into your PayPal account.

Hiya!
When you go into myebay, that is the section with only information that you can see.

Your listed item should come on straight away. If the writing is red it means the item has no bids, green means it has bids. As for the bit where it is in the wrong category, you can click "revise item" and change it there back to the right category.

Sorry, i don't know much about paypal - i usually just use postal order or cheque.

hope this helps!
:)

Get the item # for your auction and put it in the eBay search box. It will pull up your listing. Listings take a while to show up, btw.

And, PayPal allows your to transfer funds, I believe you can transfer into bank accounts.
