The Bears defense was never a factor. For them to have son the game, they had to hold the Colts to under 30 minutes possession time; which they didn't.
Chicago - 19 rushing attempts....
Bears could of used Walter Payton...
Also, you have to give shout outs to the Colts line, 190 yards on the ground for the COLTS.
400 + overall total yards.
And the COLTS "D" came up big when they needed it.
Hayden's and Sander's INT'S were Bear killers.
Finally, Grossman, what can I say - HORRIBLE.
Bears front office - go out and get Garcia.

The turf at the stadium played quicker since it was sand based and becae hard packed with a feeling more like astro turf than a grass field. The defense for the bears couldnt stop all the options the colts had, at the start of the game the bears were defending fairly well, however whn the middle of the field opened up for the Colts it seemed the Bears became more intent on that than defending the corners or deep balls. The Bears defense was confused by what was going on on the field. The Colts defense made the Bears pay for their miscues more than te Bears made the Colts pay for theirs.
Offense wise the Bears never really got th game they wanted. They wanted to draw it out and run the ball and protect the lead, once they didnt have the lead thy took some cances they should not have and the Colts D made them pay. Colts while not an offensive juggernaut during the game they put themselves wthin fieldgoal range and in position to score thorugh out the game.

Because they were overrated. They were not tested during the year like the AFC teams were. They were not that good of a team, they were only good against the teams they played against. When it came down to handling pressure and limiting mistakes they just are not as good. You cannot even say the Bears are the second best team this year. It did not matter who the AFC team was. The Ravens, Patriots, Chargers, and Colts could have beaten the Bears. I can't believe more people did not see it coming.

The bears D didn't match up well. Dallas Clak would line up in the slot right? So if they put an LB out to cover him Peyton would just audiable to a run. If he wasn't covered he would pass. Also Rex Grossman couldn't move the ball for his life. Devin Hester didn't even get the ball after the firts TD anyway. And the colts just rock.
Go Colts

I want to say that it was al Rex Grossman's fault, but lighten up on the guy. The colts defense just played too well and Peyton Manning is such a clutch player that the Bears could not keep up. GREAT job to the Colts and better luck luck next year to the Bears...

They didn't play well, it's just that simple.
I am a Chicagoan, born and bred, and I really wanted the Bears to win but, as already stated, they were second best on the field. Thank heavens for Hesert!

The Colts stepped it up and beat them. The Bears just did not play as well as they should have.

Because the Colts fought harder and better... and Dungy and Manning both keep calm in a crisis.
