Where can I find a list of parents rights regarding daycare centers in Florida? i.e., the right to visit at anytime, etc. Please help. Need this info today and am having a tough time finding it. Have called around, but no luck yet.

try the department of children and famlies or the early child hood information center if you have costudy of your kids and you're on a contact list they you should be able to go to the center anytime you want if your in the middle or the end of a divorce and your costudy hasn't been decided here in florida the mom is the legal sole caregiver untill overturned by a court ruling i think the only time is not okay to visit is when their napping but you can get them regardless of what time it is i have visited at least 30 centers in my part of florida because i.m trying to get the legislation to change the ratios which i'm sure you know are redicilious in this state but it hasn't gone so well so far i guess here in florida it's okay to leave the children behind
as far as i know you can visit your kid anytime you can ask the director of the center to see their violations of there past inspections and a list of all the incidents that have happened at the center same for the background checks of the employes because there was a center in our area that was hiring people and not doing background checks at this peticular center a young boy got locked on the after school bus and than they tried to lie about it believe it or not this place is still open even though they have violated many and many a rule but no one seems to care try this number i have no idea where you are in florida but if they can't answer your questions maybe they can direct you to the right place

What are the policies of the daycare? There is your list of when you can visit. If you don't like the policies, find another daycare. I don't think you have a whole lot of "rights" seeing as how you CHOOSE the daycare.

I would try to contact the licensing board for the daycare system in Florida.

There are laws governing daycare licensing & administration & whatever contractual agreements there are between the parent & operator. There's no separate list of "rights."
