There is a product that will absolutely remove dried paint from clothing, brushes, rollers, carpet, etc. and restore the material to look like new, regardless whether it is oil- or water-based. It is called Klean-Strip Brush Cleaner. I am a painter, and I use it all the time. It is manufactured by W.M. Barr & Co. from Memphis, TN. 38113. The product # is QBC12 The U.P.C # is 30192 01215 I purchase this procuct from Lowes Home Improvement, but most paint supply stores will most likely carry the product as well. Hope this info helps.

If you find out let me know, once its dry I've had no success. And paint thinner is effective on oil based paints only.
