Don't give answers thumbs downs, because everyone is different and this is to find out what's average. I usually wear a shirt 2 or three times if I didn't do any sweating in it.

i think it depends on the material of the shirt. for example, if its made out of material that needs dry-cleaning, probably two or three times. cashmere should be cleaned ideally about four times a year, so i would wear that more often. simple cotton or synthetic shirts i throw into the wash after one or two times wearing it, one time if the fabric stretches quickly after each time wearing.

i wear mine once and then wash it even if it didn't get anything visual on it there are still a lot of germs that can get caught on you and your clothes. Also like someone else said I have a lot of clothes so I enjoy wearing different outfits each day. My husband though could care less. He would wear the shirt, sleep in it and wear it again but only if noone saw him in it the day before. What a funny question.

If it's a sweater or any type of shirt that I wear OVER another, I'll wear it 2 or 3 times before washing it. Otherwise, it goes in the dirty clothes pile after one day.

If I wear a turtleneck T-shirt (which is washed after 1 wearing) under a regular shirt, and the collar stays clean, I wear it twice. If only a regular t-shirt, the collar usually gets dirty so into the washer after 1 wearing.

If it's a tee shirt and I wear it for a long time - everytime
If it is a blouse - usually every second time
A sweater shirt - a few times
Work Shirt - a few times

If it is a close fitting shirt I wash it after wearing it one time. If it is a big sweatshirt, I would wear it twice.

I wear a shirt once and then I wash it. I do this because I have so many clothes I can wear a different outfit everyday without wearing the same one again for about 6 months.
