It's for my 8 year old nephew, I honestly haven't got a clue, but he asked me to find out!

His two weak spot are his hands and his head. (You get bonus points for hitting him in the head). He uses several attacks:
1) he'll launch his hand into the ground. Use this to smack his hand/head as much as you can. Then when he stands up again, defeat the shadow heartless.
2) heart beam. Will release balls of energy aiming towards you, dodge them and hit his hands which are now in range for your keyblade to hit them
3) Pink balls will rain from the sky. Dodge them and stay close to him and hit his hands.
Make sure to have potions on hand and if he can attach the ability scan so you can see how close you are to defeating him.

You talking about the monster at the start of the game? If so....
At the beginning of the fight lock onto either one of this huge monsters hands and keep attacking the hand by doing Sora's
jumping and slashing combo until the huge showdown figure lowers its head. Then you move to its head and begin attacking that. You might
want to fight this thing on it's side seeing that you need to dodge
it's hand slams into the ground which releasing Shadow Heartless figures. You can ignore them and just keeping attacking it's hand then head till the fight it over.

Is it Darkside?
If you want to beat him, keep attacking his hand (lock on) when its down. Or if you want to have an extra 100 points you need to have his hands down the n carefully climb in to it then go slowly to the part f his head and they said you'll got 100 points

well there is'nt any cheats for Kingdom Hearts1 but i know how to defeat him right get ready for this.................................................................................................................................HIT HIM!
And keep hitting the big old black **** till he dies!
