My favorite eye shadow brands are The Body Shop (long wearing) and Laura Mercier (great colors that blend easy). I think the trick for eye shadow is application, for any race. Purchasing good brushes to apply with is also very important. They may seem a little expensive at first, but they are well worth it. You can buy a mini brush kit from The Body Shop that works perfect for eyes (due to the small brushes). It is only $14.50 and includes 4 brushes. I would go to your local mall and try to find a Body Shop or Laura Mercier counter and ask a consultant to give you a quick eye make-up demo. That way you can "try before you buy". And don't be afraid to return or exchange any eye shadow that doesn't work for you. I've never had any problems with returns at either store, they are generally very happy to accomodate.

I'm asian--Oriental. I looove Mac eyeshadow. It all depends on your preference of colors like mild or extreme. No matter what I always use Mac. If you want to go cheaper, I like to use Loreal. The best color for asian women depends on the skin tone of that person and the time of the day you're wearing it. For daily wear,If you're light, stick with natural colors like. For medium tones, I'd go a little darker but barely like light grey, brown, purple. For darker tans, I like bronze. For night wear, I always like to do something not entirely dramatic but draw attention on the eyes with a pretty green, gold, bronze, or purple. Just play with these colors and choose whatever brings your eye color out. I would start out with a pallette of eye shadows.

Micabella make up is the best for any skin color it has so many different shades and depending on how you apply, you can totally change the effect... you can blend them, put them on wet, or dry, you can make eyeliner, eyeshadow, blush, lip gloss, mascara, and finger nail polish all with one product... and it's all natural and good for your skin.... I have a makeup bag full of this product and i tell everyone I know about it
