Unless your doc tells you that for some reason (shortening cervix, risk of preterm labor, etc) you cant have sex, then it is perfectly safe. Have as much sex as you can because after you have the baby it is usually a while before you can again. Also, if this is your first, a baby drastically changes your sex life. You arent able to jump in the sack whenever you guys feel the urge, it has to be planned around babys schedule! :) doggystyle does tend to put no pressure on the belly so it is a little better personally. im 39 weeks, and doggystyle has been the most comfortable position for a while due to the protruding belly. but the answer is YES YES YES, its very ok to have sex while pregnant as long as you have no risks or doctor has told you any different.

You can have sex anytime when you pregnant, and anyway too. Though further down when it does get uncomfortable you shouldn't be on your back, it's more pressure on blood flow, not good for baby, but that's after the 4th month or at least when your stomach is growing.
After that point I'd say figure out how comfortable you are in different positions, some say on top is better, or on your side, just adjust to what feels better.
Talk with your doctor for ideas if you want, trust me they heard it once they heard it tiwce it won't be a big deal to ask!
Good luck!

Why not? That's what got us into this anyway!!
It's not okay if your water has broken, or you are under doctors orders not to have sex.
And doggystyle might be more comfortable when the belly starts getting in the way!

Yes, as long as your Dr. has told you other wise. Here are some positions you can try while pregnant.
Best Positions for Sex During Pregnancy
Because your body doesn't change that much in the first trimester, sex can pretty much continue as it has in the past. Later, as the uterus grows, some positions may become more difficult to perform. Sex expert Pepper Schwartz, PhD, offers these suggestions on the best sexual positions during pregnancy:
Spoon: The spoon position can be very cozy and intimate. In this case you should lie on your side curled in a C, with your partner facing your back and curled around you. He then enters your vagina from behind while both of you are lying on your sides.
Side by side: Another good choice for late pregnancy, this position will control thrust and keep weight off your belly. You and your husband lie side by side, facing each other. He slips his leg over yours (your leg can be either straight and to the side or bent at the knee) and enters you from an angle. In a variation of this, you lie on your back and he on his side. Put your leg that's closest to him over his legs. He can enter you from the back and side, and still have his face next to yours.
Woman on top: This can be a satisfying position during late pregnancy, allowing you to control pacing and be more comfortable. Make sure, however, that he doesn't enter you too deeply.
Edge of the bed: Try lying down face-up on the edge of the bed, with your legs spread and the soles of your feet on the floor. Your partner can stand or bend over you. This position, however, does allow him to thrust more deeply, so you'll have to tell him how gentle and slow you want him to be.
If you find that intercourse is too uncomfortable as your belly grows, explore other types of sexual gratification, such as oral sex (don't blow air into the vagina) or mutual masturbation.

It's fine to have sex, it just can't be rough at all, he has to be gentle. I find that with being pregnant that I am a lot more sensitive down there and it doesn't take much for it to start hurting, meaning my BF has to go slow or I am hurting

It is totally safe to have sex while your pregnant. As long as your comfortable and listening to your body. If something tells you to shift or move, then do it. The only reason I'd tell you to avoid sex is if you have had complications during the first few months...if that is the case you may want to check with your doctor... My girlfriend had some spotting and light cramping with her pregnacy and our doctor told her to avoid sex until she was further along and more comfortable...

It is, but gets more dangerous for the baby in the last 3 months. Check with your doctor if in doubt. Leaving such an important medical decision to Yahoo Answers is not the best idea.

I think it's ok to have sex while pregnant if you are in a healthy pregnancy situation. Unless you are facing an 'unstable' pregnancy, try to avoid it. Its always better safe than sorry...but i once read in a book that says never blow air into the vagina, this might cause miscarriage.

You can have sex anyway you want while pregnant. Go by your degree of comfort. Just be sure to not have rough sex. No hard thrusts against the cervix as it will cause problems, bruising or preterm labor.
