son just got the car, now it stop running,we know the fuel pump is week, but it will not crank now,it is getting gas, an the plugs are new, but it showing a small red fire ,from the plug,it will turn over ,an try to crank,,,,what could be some thing to look at to fix the problem, some say it could be the roter putton,i belive it lay in the fireing

Plug spark sounds weak, because the spark should jump a 1/4" gap and be a blue color. Is very intense. so check electrical system, coil, wires for resistance. If not cranking may have to recharge battery, Kragen, Auto zone will check and recharge for free. If battery is OK and will not crank then is a starter or starter solenoid problem.

Have you checked the ground? Or the starter wire? Some times they shake loose after awhile??
