My thoughts on the incident? Not fit for human consumption - if I could get my hands on any or all of them, they'd never do anything like it again. EVER. I'll do something to them that their parents should have done right from the start, only in my case, they'll know I mean what I say........

I think the government have taken so much responsibility out of the hands of parents that they should hold their hands up to the blame for this!!!! You can't tell your kids off these days without someone waiting to report you to Mr Bliar...on the other hand, commit a crime - but don't go to jail as there is so much overcrowding - well, my heart bleeds for the poor souls, overcrowding eh? When we still have kids in this country living under the poverty line. I'd do overcrowding properly, take away all the things like tv/gym/education & make those inside clean the streets for 8hours every day & pay their way too. A 5 year old might just then get to see what a moral & just society lives like...not this down trodden hell that has come about.

respect- that is something that is severely lacking in today's society by the majority of british youngsters, some of them probably don't even know what it means or what it is sadly. why would a 5 year old girl do something as obnoxious as that, we ought to ask? apart from being heavily influenced by her friends, what motivated her to behave in the way that she did. the problem is not the media- far from it, but rather that society and the government have continuously allowed kids to get away with the most blatant offences, whilst they stick two fingers up at the rest of us. they probably couldn't give a rats ****, which is why this country is so ridiculously lenient. as for what the 5 year would want with £50, i'd say probably to buy herself a doll, a mobile phone, mp3 player you name it. parents know that they cannot physically discipline their kids by means of smacking them, in case they are reported by the police for assaulting the child. they are in a no-win situation. the girl was well out of order and i'd be sad if her parents don't admit they had played a part in this themselves as well. goes to show that certain people don't care about anyone but themselves. makes you weep doesn't it?

I think it is sad, and I agree. Where are the parents and why is she with two teenagers? Unless they are her babysitters while her parents are at work, then people really need to do more extensive pre-screening. Children are very easily influenced, the parents need to take care of this situation and make it right.

Obviously the 5 year old is being led astray. If it were the US, they'd lock the 5 year old up for life after trying her as an adult.

A lot of kids learn their values and principles from TV and movies. If modern media glorifies this kind of behavior why should we be surprised if kids do what they've been educated to do?
