Find someone who's faster than you and try to beat this person in a sprint challenge.

Then, practice by running in a gym, street or machine. Try those 30sec sprint - 30 sec jog - 30 sec sprint (...) exercice. You'll see results.

Always do those sprint challenge to evaluate if your speed as increased or not.

You can also exercice to get bigger legs and so more streight. Try running up and down the stairs as fast as possible, that will help the muscles to develop.

Also, if you can find someone who knows more about running than you, you can ask him or her if you're running correctly. Some people run with their heals touching the ground. You can't possibly go fast if you do so.

So, if I summarize: practice and exercice should do it.

i have wondered this same thing many times and i found that there is only one way to get faster. you have to have somebody else pushing you. like a coach or a trainer. somebody that will push you. you will see your results soar.

jumping rope...time your self...you have to get better every time

run half a mile timed...the next time you run the half mile...your time has to be faster then the 1st

You can use a small parachute to create resistance while running which will strenghten your leg muscles and increase your speed.

if you mean by running just run a lot!!
you might wanna straingthen you r legs with sqauts and lundges!!!
they worked for me!!!

run up steps w\ wieghts straped to your back(ie: a backpack)
