Any suggestions on what to do when you live in a house with your partner, and your same-sex roomate (who is also gay), and you and your partner are having major problems. Then, you find yourself falling head over heals in love with your roomate? My partner knows this, as I am very honest and open.

the only unanswered question here is not knowing how the roommate feels. If you and he share the feelings, then it may be time for a change. If you and your partner are having problems, I would think you need to be sensitive to his feelings as well and if he can handle a split, then get it over with. I do not see much chance of a long term relationship however, as long as all three of you are living in the same house. Looks like a recipe for disaster to me.

It is a very tough situation... I mean, if you love your partner, then you don't want to find yourself leaving him for someone who you are in love with if he doesn't have the same feelings. So, first and foremost, I would most certainly talk to your roomate about it, see what he says... if he's not attracted to you, then I wouldn't leave your boyfriend. Only leave your boyfriend if you are REALLY NOT happy, not because you are in love with someone else, and they may not have feelings for you. It's a very hard situation, I mean problems go away, the cease... I had a lot of problems with my girlfriend and we have moved past that. Just take one step at a time, and good luck!

it sounds to me that you're transffering your feelings over to your roomate ,simply because you and your partner are hitting a rough patch,also if you're able to be this open with your partner about this. then you have to ask yourself a question ,can your roomate make you feel this comfortable ? I think if you're going to be with anybody ,it should be with yourself for awhile. Good luck
