I had the same problem, only the guy was Arab and I realize the cultural difference...so I just went to the drug store and bought a stick of Mitchum, which could cover up a skunks odor for a few days at a time and I politely handed it to him in private and just said 'here, try this it works great'...no fuss no muss and everything was taken care of..

it dosnt really matter what race or sex this person is. Everyone once in a while suffers from b.o they are poliet ways of telling people.
Are you close with this friend if so may be inviting the guy back to yours and having a nice in depth conversation with him that way he may understand . Some people have a serous problem with B.O but they cant smell it them selves. any way good luck and try not to hurt the guys fellings

Buy him a gift set with deodorant as part of the collection. Like a cologne set that has body wash and shampoo along with deodorant.
Lay emphasis on him wearing it the next day, like hmm is that the cologne I gave to you that you are wearing? Even if he is not wearing any.
Try to get something on the neutral side, something that everyone will like but on the average or pick on his taste buy it and spray a little and ask him to sniff it ask him if he likes it that you are trying to get someone a gift.
If you think that is too much work then deal with it.

It could be the food he is eating that is sweating out of his pores. Don't do it in a rude way. Maybe invite him over or just to hang out . Say it to him in a nice way, not around anyone else. Or you can give him some Cologne as a gift. Or a man's gift bag with different things according to his smell and where it maybe coming from. Suggest to him to drink more water. Or it can be medication he is taking. GOOD LUCK!!!

well maybe you should wear a really nice smell that stands out. then he may ask what it is. if he likes it you can
1) tell him where to get it, so he can buy it for himself
2) buy some for him
then, you can later on tell him in person or through a letter, that he had a b.o. problem. make sure your his freind first, because you don't want him to think that your racist right?

Pull your friend to the side tell him you are not trying to be mean and you are not trying to be races but he has to learn how to take care of his B.O. problem and if you would like to him tell him that and make a suggestion that he should try keeping deodorant with him.

If you feel uncomfortable speak to you line manager and get them to tell them. Otherwise you will just have to tell them that you have noticed that they have a small odour problem and try to come up with solutions together - least that way you are not telling them what to do

His race or ethnic classification has very little to do with the fact that he has body odor. Just simply pull him to the side and tell him. Or leave him an anonymous note on his desk, locker, etc. Good luck and God bless****

Buy him a gift basket containg all the things you think he needs to combat the problem and leave it, out of sight, for him to find at his desk.
He won't be sure who it came from and he'll get the hint.
