It has been said that the Welsh are not capable of looking after themselves and as such need the protection ond supervision of big brother in Westminster. Others have said that they are the property of the UK and should remain that way. Do you agree with these statements or do you think they should get full independence and look afetr thier own affairs with absolutely no interference?

Do you think the Welsh would go for independence?

Whilst I believe that they are more than capable of managing their own affairs, if they get full independence, then that may force the prices of certain items that they sell, up.

The Pot Noodle mines of Wales must be allowed to continue with no interference from ANYONE!
Vote NO to an Independent Wales!

YES! Speaking as an Irishman, I say don't listen to the propaganda; it's a psychological battle you're fighting. The same establishment tried to convince us we'd never make it without England, and minus six counties (including the most industrialised at partition) look at Eire now!

Yes, like Ireland they could survive on their own, with the help of the EU mind. The Welsh economy is pretty poor in comparison to what the Irish was.
Anyway yea, so you get inependance from us horrible Englishmen, who never give you a say, only to through yourself head first into the EU, where you abandon your currency and foreign policy and eventually become the US of Europe, and get even less of a say as Europe is so much bigger than the UK.

I think its feasible within the EU. Read what Jan Morris says about this in her great book on Wales, entitled, strangely, 'Wales'.
