Get a Jr. Lifesaving certificate and teach swimming lessons.
Pretty good money at 25-35$ per lesson.
Most pools need someone part time to help out/man the snack bar/cleanup.
Then get a Sr. Lifesaving certificate and lifeguard. Nice money, fun, healthy and the hours are good.
This can be a reliable summer job all the way to graduation.

I had my first job when I was 12 at a bowling alley. I blew up balloons for birthday parties, and made sure the table always had a pitcher of soda. I also brought the plates and utensils for their food, and I got to paint the bowling pin that the birthday boy or girl got to keep. I earned $12.50 per party, which usually lasted between 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Hope this helps.

Ask elderly people for an opportunity to run errands or do chores for small fee. They always need help!
