You haven't really specified where you are in the game, so I'll tell you about both.

If you're right at the beginning, lock onto him and spit a bubble at him. He will drop the Ocarina of time. Grab it and you will remember the song of time. Now play that song quickly. Your game will be saved and you will return to the dawn of the first day. Now go to the mask guy and he will turn you back to normal and then you will learn about the mask.

Now you have to go through each of the areas north, south, east and west of clock town to save the trapped spirit there. I won't go into details on how to do it all; you'll need to find an online walkthrough. But when you save the first spirit, you will learn the oath to order.

Once you have saved all four spirits, go back to him on the third day. Now you play the oath to order. This will summon the four giants to your aid. You can only do this when all four have been saved.

What follows is being transported into the moon. If you have all of the mask (excluding the transformation masks) you can go through each of the small dungeons that the little kids who are running around the tree (they will be wearing the masks of the main bosses in the temples) will take you to if you give them one of your masks. It can ONLY be used inside boss rooms. The fierce deity form wields a huge blade which does a lot mre damage than your normal sword. More importantly, if you lock on with z- targetting (or l-targetting if you're playing on the Gamecube) and swing your sword, you will fire a deadly disc of energy. This does consume magic though.

If you can't go through the small dungeons, don't worry. just talk to the kid sitting by the tree. Either way, talking to him will take you to the final battle with Majora's mask. The fierce deity's mask makes this a walk in the park but if you don't have it, you need to be clever with your tactics.

For the first form, the front of the mask is protected by hard armor. You need to wait for it to leave it's back vulnerable to attack. Once it is, attack it as quickly as you can. At some point, the four masks on the wall will come alive. Hit them with your sword to kill them. Occasionally, Majora's mask will fire a beam of fire at you. This is easily dealt with. Lock onto the mask to look at it and then release the lock on. Now hold up your mirror shield and use it to reflect the laser back at Majora's mask.

After a bit of punishment, Majora's mask will change forms into Majora's incarnation. He moves very fast so you'll have to ambush it and hit it with your sword. This will knock it to the floor, giving you a chance to attack. Keep an eye on what it does since it may suddenly stop and fire blasts of energy at you.

The final form is called Majora's wrath. Equip the bow and arrows. What you need to do is keep locked onto it and fire your bow when you get a chance to. The bow will stun it and alllow you to give it a taste of your sword. Watch out for the spinning blades it occasionally throws. One huge problem is his huge range. You need to be at a distance where you can shoot with your bow and rush over to it before it can recover and be safe at the same time. Experiment with different distances.

Once you beat this form, you've completed the game.
