I agree with senior_citizen on this one. Mitt Romney is definitely the candidate that is best-prepared to lead the Nation, looking at the way he has led in the past (as CEO/chairman of his companies, as President of the 2002 Olympics committee, and as a moderately conservative governor in a state (Massachussets) that is predominantly liberal.

If you look at the Presidential Race for 2008, it's very easy to fall into the trap of supporting the candidate who does the best job of bashing Bush. I will agree that his latest term has been a disaster, but the Presidential Race isn't about slamming our current President, no matter how poorly he leads our country. It's about taking a stance on the issues, based on the needs and wants of the people. Mitt Romney has a very clear stance on the issues, and has a track record of following the will of the people he leads.

If you want to pay lower taxes AND take care of our budget deficit problems, he is the go-to guy. In Massachussets, he overturned a deficit of several billion dollars and in his third year, even ended with a surplus. Oh, and he did all of this without raising taxes.

At this point in time, my choice would be John Edwards (I'd be very pleased to see an Edwards/Obama ticket). I think Hilary Clinton would do a good job as well, and ANYBODY would be better than Bush (and I mean that quite sincerely - *I* would do a better job than Bush, and I have NO business being president).

Based on what? What specific Bills have she submitted to Congress? I believe your support of her is due to your dislike of Bush. Hillary has never been shy to publicly voice he opposition to everything Bush has done, especially Iraq. Why is it you give her a free pass on her vote to authorize action in Iraq? Let's say she was truly deceived by Bush...even though she claims to have done her own research on the issue prior to her vote...would you want someone so easily deceived in the highest office in the land?

The hypocrisy of the Democrats is amazing, especially all those who voted to authorize military action. You know damn well they'd be touting their involvement with Iraq had the insurgency not kicked up and created the current mess.

Anybody would do a better job then bush, but don't get it twisted Bill Clinton was a great president. I think Hilary should win because she has more experience as a politician then Barack Obama. Its not about vote for Barack because he is Black, or Vote for hilary because she is a woman, Its about vote for who would be a better president

Mitt Romney is probably the most intelligent, most thoughtful, most broadly experienced, and most dedicated person who has been mentioned to date. Check that out on Wikipedia and elsewhere.
