I read cards, both tarot and regular playing cards. I would love to make some money at it, and don't know the appropriate amount to charge. Any ideas would be helpful!

What is with these people trying to preach...? [shakes head] This isn't a place for that. Take it somewhere else.

Onto the question:
If you must charge, try to make it a reasonable and affordable price. I've seen prices like $60 an hour, which I think is ridiculous. I think you should have a price for the amount of questions, as well as the type of question asked. I think around $20-$25 for a reading is a great, balanced price.

No, it is not worth it to pay for the rest of the reading. Yes, the Tarot is real. However, not that many people really understand how to read it. It's not about having some supernatural power. It's about studying the cards, the significance of all the symbols, and the meanings behind the meanings, that makes the difference. I've been reading for over 35 years, and I'm an atheist. I don't believe there's anything super-natural about it. It's an accumulation of very old and newer symbolism in a pattern that pulls together the correspondences of all symbols into the kabalistic tree of life. It's a set of archetypes that refers to all of human experience. It reaches for that which is beyond merely physical existence and correlates it to the material plane. It also helps unravel the complexity of cause and effect relationships.

hi, i read tarot cards since 14 years old, and i have a extreamly strong intuition since the beggining around 4 or 5 years old, and im in my 40's now, so i am very experience in the matter
i could probally make a ton of money from doing it, but i have NEVER charged not once, not to say i could use the money at times beleive me but...........the reason i never charge anyone is,
personally i feel i was givin a gift of strong intuition, which i had since i was a child, before i knew about tarot or card reading etc.. and for me to make money off that does not seem right in my heart somehow, although i have been told by 100's of people over the years i should charge, i can not.
the thought to me making money from helping or guiding family and friends of friends of friends etc. because i have a special gift, is no different then me wanting to charge for all my volenteer work, thats just my view, so please dont take it personally. i read cards only for certain people, as my intuition is stronger, but i can read for anybody, as i can pick up on the fact if they just want a reading for a reading sake, or if they need guidance. my reading have a 97% corection rate and my intuitions or visions have never been wrong..the one thing about my gift is i am unable to read about myself, maybe its ment that way, but my intuition has always guided me...

with that said, reading someone cards / tarots should not be taken lightly there is a responsiabily that comes with that, you have to remember that what you say can have reprocossions, and could change someones life, and are you ready for that.

i won't try to discourage you from making money, and as for most people who can read tarot --why not, there are so many out there wanting to know, so why should you not get your slice of the pie as they say, if you are in it for just the money i suggest any where from 30 - 50 dollars, that seem to be the going rate, and if you do read the cards, try to determin the outcome of your new venture through a reading from the cards about yourself, and see if this is right for you.. you never know you could make thousands in a short time.... good luck .

Is this for entertainment purposes? If it is, then it should be so stated before payments are remitted to you.

I personally do not condone tarot card readings, yet, this should not stop me from treating you like any other person oriented in business.

My question to you is, would you feel comfortable charging someone even a dime or 20.00 for that matter? Analyze your own self worth and the worth of your abilities. Your own worth and talents will help you dictate what you should charge. Also ask yourself how much you would pay for your own or similiar services.

Again, I am not condoning what you do, but I do respect your desire to be self-sufficient and business minded.

Tarot cards scare me for some reason. Is it just only me, or do they seem somewhat demonic. I wouldn't get a tarot card reading. They seem in the same category as a ouija board. This is simply my opinion.

I'd never pay, it's bad karmically. Also, for $12-15, you can buy your own Tarot deck and teach yourself to read the cards. It's good fun!

Personally I would not pay more than $20 .However I know some people can be very desparate so they will pay
much more .$20 is a reasonable amount and you will have more clients .How much would you pay for a reading?

Depending on where you are, the average rate is around $20 for a reading of around 15 minutes

By the way, the person above has a point. There's a karmic rule that states you cannot use your gifts for personal gain. The ones who do are usually charlatans. Sorry

nothing. it's all bull. u should be following the lords plan and not some future telling person. i use to be involved in all of these things and use to pay lots of money to be read, some people are fake all about the $$$ and some other people did know what they were saying, and told the truth, but all that is not of god.

a dollar. you can't really expect for people to give you a big amount of money just for a reading , do you? besides if what you say really happens it's just a coincidence.
