I'm having trouble burning a "Data DVD" with a bunch of files (approx. 3.2 gb of mp3, docs, pdf, etc). I'm using Sonic or Nero and every time I go to burn a data based DVD it says please insert a CDR or CD-RW.

Is there anyway around this? Am I missing something? Can DVD's only be used for video and or ISO based DVD files?

In Nero, you have to change the settings from CD into DVD. Usually you can change this in the top left corner of a new compilation.

Re-check your DVD, is it blank or not ?

I dont use those programs,
but usually programs have a box that need to be checked
when you will be using blank dvd,s instead of cd,s.

You can't use a dvd in a cdrw burner, that's why you're getting that error.
