I totally agree w/ the ban. These are measures that have to occur if things are to get better. It's unfortunate that some one had to die for it to happen. It always seems that some knuckleheads have to ruin everything for the "true" fans of the sport. It's just a game people. If your team loses, well there's always next week to make up for it and so on. It's not worth dying or killing for.

I'm not entirely informed on the situation, but I agree with suspending the matches until a better system is in place. What I don't agree with is playing games with no fans in the stands. As someone who has played many matches in front of fans, I couldn't imagine going out there and not having that energy to draw off of. Also, it has got to be a hard hit to the pocketbooks of these clubs. Not every club has the euros that the Milan teams have. They already have to spend the money to fix the stadiums, now they have to operate a stadium without drawing an income. I just think they could have held off for another week, or let the clubs go to alternate venues.

Compared to other clubs in countries, Italian soccer fans, tend to still act primitively. I find it disturbing that my family and others do not want to go to a game because of fear of the fans themselves.

I'm not exactly sure at what position I hold with the ban as of now but I do believe we need to start increasing the quality and quantity of security so family&children can safely watch the games.

To watch a game without fans takes away the intensity and atmosphere of the game. No yells. No drums. No singing. No cheers. No whistles. No support the teams can visually see to feed off of. It seems unimaginable. I still want fans to be in the stadiums cheering on their team but at the same time I want safety and to feel reassured that if, when I go to watch a game, something happens to go wrong security will have the knowlegde to handle such hectic situations and the knowledge to prevent such disasters from occuring.

A ban is hurting the real fans.

I think the guilty are the ultras and the clubs. The clubs should have been given until the end of the season to upgrade physical security, immediately ban the ultras and include massive security in the stadium until the ultras and the security are fixed.

I do not agree with playing the games when no fans are allowed in. The fans are the most important part, without them football would not exist (obviously). I understand that security measures should be made in order to protect everyone but I would rather have the games moved or canceled then played with no one watching. How weird is that, when Milan or Livorno scores there will be no one cheering. It is hard to imagine.

There is no way you can turn that decision down because it is not the first time to see that. I remember in the champions league clush between MIlan and Inter the Goal keeper Dida was the victim of an incident that happened during the game.

Thanx!

I love to see teh top italian teams play. Violence is terrible and should be punished. I say let the teams play and until the fans can go out and play nice, they should be grounded and not leave home for a while.

I think that it was a good descision. No sport is worth having someone killed over. This is just a temporary stage until the other stadiums conform their security measures.
