These fastfood stores are found in almost any place in the Philippines. It is very rare that we dont find them.

1. Jollibee is USA's McDonalds.

2. Chowking is the Chinese restaurant which you
will enjoy since there are more foods
available to choose from. Try halo-halo and
siopao for snack.

3. Greenwhich is the Philippines version of the
Pizzahut ! Try Shakeys too!

4. Red Ribbon and Goldilocks are places to
go when you crave for cakes! They have
foods to try also.

5. Max's Restaurant is the house that chicken
built. It is found in all Shoemart Department
stores!

I had seen most of these in California except for Greenwhich and Shakeys. I had seen Chowking only in San Diego.

These are my suggestions although they aren't all fast food...
1. If you want icecream then i suggest you go to the streets and buy dirty ice cream! Really delicious!
2. Aristocrat for their chicken barbeque with java rice. Ooooh so yummeh!
3. Max's for their fried chicken and banana ketchup and other Filipino dishes. Their fried chicken is the only viand i can eat with banana ketchup. It's just really a good combination!
4. Razon's Halo-halo..it's originally from the province Pampanga but there already are outlets in Manila.
5. Jollibee the number one fast food chain in the Philippines!
Have a blast!

Oh goody, I love these questions. Mine is like a top 5 list, with number 1 being the best:
5. Jollibee: very good in a pinch and when very hungry

4. McDonalds: after pancit, rice and seafoods 3 times a day for
a week straight, this is a welcome change

3. Shakey's: you know you want to try it, so go ahead.

2. Max's: not really fast food, but I really enjoyed it just the same.
The food was kind of fast foodish.

And Reigning at #1, for all time in my heart, stomach and mind
CHOW KING!! I love that they are everywhere, and seemingly open all the time. My favs are the little lumpias, siaomai (sp?) pancit, breakfasts, halo halo, OH just the whole menu!! oh, and the noodle soup....too.

For seafood stores you can try the SEASIDE along Macapagal Avenue, Pasay City.and DAMPA along Sucat, Paranaque City. For fast-food chains for burgers and chickens there are McDonald and Jollibee any where in the Metro Manila Area and Max's and Aristocrat Restaurants particularly at the Rajah Sulayman Park along Roxas Boulevard, Manila, Philippines.

I always look forward to going and having a snack at Jollibee there is a good variety of food available and their chicken tastes better than KFC.
Tropical Hut serves up some tasty burgers.
All major fast food outlets are available. The Malls have a large variety of fast food outlets inside.
If you try street food be careful you can judge for yourself whether the vendor is hygienic. I suggest you try the BBQ pork, it is delicious.
Halo-Halo is something different for your taste buds.
Leche-flan is tasty (egg custard).
Do try to have some home fried chicken.
Magnolia makes a very good and tasty variety of flavoured ice creams.
Lechon (BBQ pig) is very tasty.
Calderetta is my favourite (like a beef stew).
The Filipino eats some exotic foods which I will not try but their normal food is very tasty and should have you asking for more.
The only thing I don't like is their interpretation of what a hamburger is.

If u want to try local Filipino dishes, i would advise you to stick to the traditional food...its so much better than any fast food....by the way, its not healthy eating too much fast food.

1. Halo halo is a must....mmmm

2. Adobo, i prefer chicken to pork.

3. Bicol express...if u r into spicy food...not very spicy to my taste

4. Pinakbet (try the Northern Luzon version...they seem to my favorite

5. Goldilock's Polvoron....great for gifts and snacking...

of course, each one of us would have a different list, at least u have some variety of it when u r there in Manila...

enjoy it....mabuhay!

ps: if u must try a fast food stall, then go to

1. Max fried chicken
2 Jollibee
3 Greenwich
4 Northpark Chinese Restaurant (ooops, not a fast food chain - very nicely priced, not expensive at all)
5 or simply visit any of the SM malls and head off to the food court, u will be tempted to try all of it!

Chow King
Max's (though I wouldn't really call this fast food)
Jollibee, which gives McDonalds a run for its money here
For ice cream, though not a restaurant, try the Arce brand, it's the best. Available in most supermarkets.
Goldilocks Bake Shop

Jolibee's Chicken Joy very very good.

Get street food barbecues & banana-cues.

Jolibee has a good big burger but I found a wide variance in the quality from location to location.

There is the standard American fast food joints in the larger cities. You will find them close but not quite the same, there is definitely adjustments to the recipes & menus to suit local taste.

Other foods from Philippino cuisine to try are pancit & adobo. Also make sure to try someone's homemade fried chicken.

Update
Try halo-halo when you get a chance.
