As we have heard that the new Rodeo engine is more reliable than the older Trooper engine, that we have had problems with in the past, we were wondering if there is any way of changing the engine rather than loosing a lot of money trading in the Trooper for something else.

They can be changed out if someone knows what they are doing but you would have to do some major changes. Also you may be paying more for the new engine than it would br worth.

Even a straight engine swap (same kind) is difficult. Swapping in a different engine is basically a large project.

they can be changed but you need to weld a new brace in place as the new engine is slightly bulkier an you will need to renew and drill some new mounting bolt holes but altogether a lot cheaper than renewing the car
